I'm looking into a 20' 2,600 pound dry weight single axle travel trailer. Can I tow it without firestone ride rite air bags? I have the 4 leaf tsb and tow pkg. I was thinking of just towing it without them and if It wears out the 4 leaf tsb springs down the road I would replace them with Dakars. What do you think?

I have the non-tsb leafs with and ad-a-leaf. The tongue weight on my trailer is 330lbs dry so add what a battery and 5 gal propane weighs. I will run these springs then go with the Dakars and ad-a-leaf down the road. The trailer drops the rear approx. 1-1.5 inches.

3" Revtek spacer kit in front w/ aal and 1" block in rear. No TSB aal installed yet. Spider Trax spacers.
My personal preference is to have the airbags. I won't tow anything without having the stability they provide. For $200-300 dollars & simplicity to install its a great safety feature for keeping your front end on the ground at all times. When the truck sits level while towing it handles much better.

But this is just my preference.

As for towing a 20' travel trailer with only a single axle on it, that will change your ride dramatically over the same trailer with a double axle. The single axle will tend to have more tongue weight potential more often from the sesaw effect.
A weight distribution hitch will definitely be a must with sway control.

Is it pretty bouncy with just 1 axle in the back? Very nice truck BTW.

I don't really notice any bounce at all. I have only done 1 trip with it towing it from L.A. back to Carson City, NV. A little over 450 miles. The trailer is 2500 lbs dry and I got around 13.5-14 mpg. It seems to tow nice.
