Did he have a vehicle with him? Maybe I'm just overreacting. But if I'm a salesman I want to look professional, he didn't. But who knows

I honestly did when I was first talking to him. But there were just too many strange things about the situations that didn't make it look like a honest living. I mean up until he took the flyer back from me, I was like ok this guys legit. Then he wanted it back...to me as a business owner I'd want the home owner.. possibly one day a potential customer to have my business information. Then as I watched him walk away past a couple houses and not enter a vehicle. It brings up the question of ..where is this vaccum that he was trying to sell me. I called the sheriff's office and they had other calls about the same guy so atleast I know i'm not the only person who thought it was strange.

I see, I guess just being in a rural area were not used to sales people coming up to our houses and trying to sell things... and when he said "free carpet cleaning"....nothings ever free.

I let him do an area rug in my front porch, so he called a van showed up, droped the bag with tha vaccum, dropped another guy that went to see other nehigbors and then after he was done and tried to sale me the vacuum and 20 NO ( very persistent guy) they pick him up.
I believe somebody called the police, because I saw the police talking with the other guy when this one was leaving. Never saw them again!

Don't worry on beying overreacting, i come from a country were no way in hell you open the door to an estranger, and robers do many tricks to rob you. Unfortunally, you are seeing more and more stuff like that here in the states. :(
