    but mostly because I don't like using riser base plates

    AGM batteries tend to stay cleaner...
    probably because they don't vent like std. lead/acid batteries would.

    But hey... if modifying the hold down might minimize corrosion...
    welp... guess that'd just be another feather in the cap :)
