Screeching Noise

    When I'm driving on the freeway I here this Screeching noise. I'm not sure what it can be. The werid thing is when I brake the noise goes away. Any ideas?

    Sounds like a sticky brake caliper piston. Pull the wheels and check to see if piston is hanging up and riding the rotor.

    How are you brakes doing? Are the pads low and the warning tab on the pad making noise?

    check your pads. this just happened to me. it was the sensor, even though braking would sometimes make it go away. when the pads wear down enough, the sensor has some play and can move on and off the rotor for different reasons (ie. vibrations in the wheel, braking, turning, etc.) pushing the brakes might cause a little force to knock the sensor off the rotor. seems sort of backwards, but it might be the cause. good to rule it out since it's the simplest.
