5100's all around w/ 1.75" front. 1.5" Toytec AAL ARE shell with roof rack. Weathertech vent-visors and floormats 20% tint on front. Black and charcol wet okole's VLED V3 Triton DTRL's/turn signals. ECGS bushing
I put about 40 cinder blocks. I think i was around the 1500-1600lb area. My truck did it but it almost made me regret leveling it. it felt like i was staring at the sky the whole time.

I'm with the "it'll be fine, just don't make it a habit" crowd.

lol I did the same thing to my poor 1st gen. On the second trip, I blew one of the shocks when backing up into my driveway.

The bed held it fine and it drove fine even on the bump stops the whole way . I'm fairly hard on my Tacoma(s) and they have always pulled through.

Another vote for: "It'll be fine... just don't make a habit of it".

One thing to consider is brakes. I overloaded a truck I used to own, everything was fine, till going down hill about 50mph and had to stop quickly. Needless to say standing on the brakes, truck stopped but not quickly.
Something to keep in mind hauling loads weighing more than the vehicle was designed for.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
It should be fine for that short of distance. Back when I was working for a concrete contractor; we loaded my bed full of bags of concrete and I never had any issues. I have the TSB done so it handled it a lot better than the wimpy stock ones ever would have. Not sure the exact weight I had back there, but concrete is very heavy stuff and no doubt I was pushing 2,000lbs or more.

$15 for a U-Haul 4x7 utility trailer (1,770lb payload rating) would be my choice. That way, I wouldn't be worried about the damage from the load being dumped in the bed. The lower deck height might be better for unloading too.

Listed payload includes driver, any gear in the truck, and passengers. So.....Your more likely gonna be over by 500-700 pounds. The rear axel is a non floating unit, so if over loaded, you could end up with some leaking axels.

Chris is right (that kinda hurts), axles have leaked before from overloading. Also, with the known weak rear springs on the Tacomas, why abuse them?

I've never understood why people think it's " fine " to overload a truck by double it's capacity because " they aren't going too far "

People think that it can handle it. A close friend of mine did the same thing with his 2500 Chevy. Capacity was 2600#, and he thought 4000# wouldn't be a big deal. 2 weeks later, I got to show him how to replace axel seals.

I broke a leaf spring with less weight than the OP wants to haul.

Cost $300 to get it fixed.

    I would not do it.

What ever you do pump the rear tires up to max PSI.
I would not put a ton in a 1/4 ton payload truck, just me.

How much is delivery? We paid $45 for 2 tons, well worth it. You're driving a .475 ton pickup not a single axle dump truck. Your call, be safe.

Had 800# of river rock today in bed. Sorry no pics, storming when I did it. Squatting pretty good. I have the 3 leaf pack. My Hellwig 550 helper springs arrived today and will install tomorrow before another trip for river rock. Will only go to 1000# though. I personally wouldn't put 2000 back there.
