For me there's not really a secret to it. My truck is pretty much bone stock.

Here's my specs- V6, PreRunner, AccessCab
Stock everything- tires(Dunlop Grandrek. Same tires since getting the truck new)
not lifted. zero mods on performance wise. ie. air intake, chips etc.

I mainly use just 87 regular b/c it's cheaper. Never tried the other octains.
My fill ups comes when my fill up light comes on. I do this pretty much the same, never changing anything.

I drive like a grandpa- Highways, I literally stay with in the speed limit, plus 1mph or 2 above it. Cruise control helps too. I use it all the time.
Roads- Same, stay with in the speed limits.

Now there are variables- Price drop/hike in fuel cost. The fastest speed limit we got here in HI is 65 in a Highway I rarely use. 55 speed limit is what I usually deal with everyday.

I guess it's all about having self control on stomping that gas pedal.

See there's no secret to it hehe :D

    Thanks Adio

Actually that is some good info.

Here's what stood out to me:
    -Slower highway speeds on average
-lighter weight tires (I assume the 265/70/16's) but still lighter than BFG's or Hankooks - with less rolling resistance.
-light on the skinny pedal :D
    -and no lift

Does Hawaii run Ethanol in their low grade fuel? Only one place around here does (60 miles south) but the premium is generally E free.

    Thanks for the good info:)
