    Hey all,

Going to get the Pioneer AV-P4100DVD double-din receiver this week which has the option for using jpg files for the background/wallpaper. Does anyone out there have any files that they used for a similar purpose or have any good links?

    Thanks,
    Kyle

You can make your own from any image you find really. Especially if you have Photoshop or a similar program, you can add to it and doll it up to your liking. Some people take a picture they like and use Microsoft Picture manager to crop and adjust the pixel size to their screen. I'm not sure about the AV-P4100DVD, but the AVIC-Z2 in my truck has a screen size of 500 x 240.

according to the pioneer website the resolution of that unit is 480x234 however in order to keep the 16x9 aspect ratio i would think that you'd want to create them at 480x270... i haven't done a custom background yet so i don't know the outcome yet

You are correct... however, I made mine a tad bit larger so to make sure there was no shortness around the edges. My avatar actually is the background pic on my Z2. It came out perfect. I haven't tested it 480x234... would probably look the same.
