Sorry for bringing this back up as a 1st post. I read 32 pages of threads on the subject and as soon as i thought i had found my definite answer i would find another post that said different. Just bought a week ago 2013 TRD Sport 4wd, love the truck but hate the Dunlop tires. Found a shop that will give me $110 per tire for the Dunlops for trade on Michelin LTX M/S2 or LTX A/T2. I do not want to do any lifts, trims, mods etc.. Can i gofrom 265/65/17 to 265/70/17 with no rubbing or issues, will it work? Any opinion on the M/S2 vs A/T2 would be appreciated also. 95% highway driving and weekends towing 4000lb boat 2 miles to ocean. Will post pic shortly. Thanks for your help

I have the Michelin LTX M/S2 tires ( 265/70/17), ride wery smooth and quiet. Mine are on 9"wide rims (not sure of the offset but def. pushed out wider). Had minor rubbing with mud flaps and fender flares.

Thanks for the reply. I will probably be going with the M/S2 also. Have them on SUV and the ride is great. I liked the looks of the A/T2 but unsure of ride quality. I am keeping the factory rims so not sure if that will make a difference in clearance.

265/70/17 will work fine with stock sport wheels and stock suspension

Thanks Juice that is what i wanted to hear. GTDad i noticed your profile pic, might drive the new truck from the coast up to Athens this year to watch my Gamecocks go for 4 in a row! Sorry for that, it is not often we get to brag about anything so i have to take advantage of the chances i get.

Yes, the 265/70/17 will fit. The M/S 2 will be better if you are on the highway more.

    This

The 265/70/17 is 5% taller than the 265/65/17. Not wider. So it will work. I did that on my 08 4runner before I sold it. Looks better and only rubbed the fender liner a little. When I did the install I measured all my fender heights before and after and I gained about 1 inch in height, but that was going from bald tires to new tires so I gained more tread and more sidewall which gave me more overall height.
