I know this has probably been asked but I was caught in a rut and my right front tire was spinning with 4LOW but the left wasn't moving, which, if it had I would have pulled myself out. I'm new to wheeling and 4-wheel operations but when one tire is slipping isn't the other supposed to lock and spin as well??

EDIT:: I have a TRD Sport so I have no locker is that why?

With our 4wd system on all Tacomas there is not a locker in the front diff. Regardless of Sport or Off-road package.

Therefore, only one wheel in the front has power going to it. If you are stuck and you have a rear diff lock (TRD Off-road) and you engage 4low you would have both wheels in the rear spinning and 1 wheel in the front spinning.

There is no way of getting all 4 wheels spinning without adding a aftermarket front diff locker.

Ya, or grab a shovel and dig yourself out. Or shove a big rock or log under the tires that are spinning.

Thanks, thats very appreciated advice. I'm glad you took that class and aren't hiding all the info you got. Is it possible to PM me the info on it, I am very interested. Also, my taco is all stock currently, should I wait until I have mods to take the course to benefit more.
