After talking with my wife we both decided we would want a DC instead of the current AC we own. How difficult would it be to trade? It's a 2012 Sport with 5500 miles on it very clean still. Thanks for the help!

Assuming you're trading it in at a dealer, expect a pretty big loss. The value of any car/truck goes down a few thousand dollars the moment you sign your name on that paper.

However, if you stand strong you should be able to do okay with it. The resale value of these trucks is pretty phenomenal.

You should try your luck on CL first rather than just trading it

Yeah, depending on how fast you want to do it I would try private party for a little bit first.

A slew of pricey stuff my wife hates me for.
If you can't get close to what you paid in a private sale you should just hold on to it, if that's an option. It'd be a damned shame to lose a few thousand dollars on an essentially brand new truck.

Thanks everyone! The Cl idea is a good one that I will have to mull over with the wife. The only problem I am running into is there is no dealer in Sitka so I was going to do it when I go on leave in a couple months so I will see what she thinks.

We did the same thing! Ours was a 2010 AC cab that we traded in on a 2013 DCSB. We got $22,585 off the sticker price of $34,385.
