    Bone stock!
Ive been thinkin about installing pro comp monotube shocks and leveling out my truck. there is a special at the local 4wheel parts, $360 + tax with free installation. i know about replacing my stock shocks with the 5100's and adjusting the height on them to get the lift but have heard it is difficult to remove strut so i figured this free install at 4wheel parts is probably better. i want to make sure i will have the same ride as before, or maybe even imporve the ride i have now. i have an 06 pre runner dclb i just purchased last month and i love it! cant get enough of driving it.
    thanks for the help guys!

Changing out the strut is actually very easy. Usually takes me about 45 minutes or less to take mine out and put back on. Never had any experience with the pro runners so cant help you there. But free bump.

when does the ride start getting stiff on a 2wd? this is my first tacoma, i had a 01 f150 super crew and all i had to deal with was torsion bars so struts and spacers are all new to me haha

Not to sure. I have a 4x4 and I changed my suspenion out around 25k miles. And my stock suspension was still very smooth. How many miles do you have on yours right now?

Then yeah id say it's about time ti change yours out. I have the OME kit and love it. Its a little stiffer than stock due to the heavy duty coils and new leaf packs. From what ive read and heard 5100's will give you a stock ride and be able to lift the front.
