I love all the hate on this page! Alot of guys dont realize the difference between plastidip in a can vs dip out of a legitamate spraygun with a compressor and multiple layers. Like the OP said there are multiple ways to fix areas that may be scratched and with as many layers that are suggested for a good result, itll be pretty hard to scratch it down to the paint unless you have no respect for your truck while wheeling.

Ive had plenty experience with small mods using the can and a fully dipped car using a spraygun and lemme tell ya the difference is ridiculous! ill be preparing my truck for a new makeover in the near future! Truck looks great OP

I put 8 cans (AKA not thin) on my rocker panels and fenders
I'll admit, I've had to touch them up a bit in the mere month i've had it on
(in the plastidip's defense, the only major one was from 160lbs on the heel of a boot)
but, fortunately, it's easy and cheap enough to fix

How did you mask stuff OP? I've always sprayed one super thick coat and then peeled the tape while it was wet because I was worried about the dip peeling off with the tape if dried. Can you spray multiple coats and then peel the tape off after it's dry and get clean edges?
