So I just put these on and the steps seem to be right in my ingress and egress path. No lift, 70s on the tires and 5100s waiting to be put on so I don't really need the actual step to get in or out. But I have found myself stretching and reaching over the step that protrudes out from the body just a bit. Will probably adjust, but has anyone else made this observation? The steps are really popular and they look good.

I definitely 'reach' over them to get in and out. I have found even with the lift you still don't use them. The steps are high enough that its kinda awkward to use them.

My wife uses them because "my truck is too high". Even though its only 1.5" rear and 2.5" in the front.

I just traded my 07 access cab for a 12 double cab that came with bars. Mine are already for sale on Craigslist they are just in the way.

I felt that way when I had my precious taco that wasn't lifted... But now I have a 6" lifted taco and I freaking love them!

Yeah, my 5'2" wife likes 'em so I'll keep for a while. I'll keep Craigslist warm though...

I took mine off bc they got in the way also. Im 6'2" and dont need steps even with my lift.
I want to get sliders soon, but will modify them so they dont stick out far. Ill make them tight to the body so they dont get in the way. :)

I'm stepping over mine too.....but that's because they are on the garage floor!! They arrived damaged because there was no packing in the box to keep them stationary during shipment. Chipped, scuffed, dented and brackets bent...and 1 week of runaround from Nfab and 3 weeks of runaround from Carid(web seller I bought them thru)... hoping all truns out well and I can bolt a set on soon?!?!?!

Nice looking product with a lift. Wife used them. Now she uses the sliders.

Mostly got them for my 5'4" wife.

I'm 6'1" and don't really need them. But I really do like the look.

The only time I really ever used them was to knock snow and slush off my shoes before I got into the truck. I've gotten used to reaching over them to get in and out my truck.

But my girlfriend, who's 5-3ish, uses them to get in.
