Hi. I would like to know what is the maximum tire size I can fit to 16" Mickey Thompson's Classic III rims?

I am planning to buy 265/75 16 tires (stock are 265/70 16) for the MT Classic III's. But, can I fit 285/75 16 without doing any major modifications (or lifting) to my truck? I would like the fatter "donut" look without lifting my truck.

I own a 2005 Toyota Tacoma PreRunner Off-Road (locker) extended cab w/short bed.

    Thanks, in advance!

    Joey

Nope, would have to do some serious cutting or lift it to fit 285s

Thank you for the fast replies.

Would a 3" lift from Revtec or Toytec allow me to use 285/75 16 tires without further modifications?

    Again, thanks.

no youd still have to do some trimming. just not as much as without a lift.

Most likely you would still have to ditch your front mud flaps and trim your fender just a little bit and still, just maybe do a cab mount chop.

    Thanks, guys!

I guess I'll just get the 265/75 16's for now. Hope I don't get the "bug" later on.

I have LT285/75R16's on my 2006 with a skyjacker 3 1/2 inch lift and I have a little scrub on the left with hard left turn but not bad.
