Looking to upgrade my speakers in my 03 DC. I have a Kenwood head unit and there is tweeters in the top of doors. Will it be ok to run a set of coaxial 2 ways or will components w/crossovers be better. Or disable factory tweets or disable tweets on 2 ways. Just looking for a little better sound for a decent price. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks

I just put Infinity Components in my front doors with a factory HU and it made a huge improvement. I still dont have the wake up the neighbors volumn but I can now use what volumn I have. A HU is in the future just couldnt swing both now. I say componets

I ditched the top tweeters and went coaxial. The phase difference (i.e. separate locations) bothered me.

One day I'll probably get the kick panel enclosures that Crutchfield sells so I can have my coherent phase source and tweeter LOS at the same time.
