I will quote you now ...

What are you a 10 year old ?? What makes FACTS about events 40 years ago irrelevant ?? Soooo unless it happened yesterday or in your case a couple hours ago it didn't happen? Or its a conspiracy ??

You are 20 some odd post into your membership on this forum & most probably devoted to defending your 1 sided view, some would say that makes you a troll...

Look, I said in earlier post that I don't believe that all gov. is corrupt, there are good people that truly do believe in the constitution & rights of citizens.. But when people like you make statements that imply the Gov. wouldn't breach the law that the rest of us have to live by & they'd never do anything against the TAXPAYERS. Thats just pure stupidity on your part.. If the founding fathers were here today your ass would be getting kick up one side & down the other & thrown on a boat heading across the pond for tea with the queen..

You are actually going to use wiki and then try and say people in the government don't have political agendas? Last I checked most elected ran on an agenda...then appointed there own people who sided with their agenda....again the IRS...no agenda and you think 4WD is nieve?

how is my tenure on this website relevant to this conversation? you're 15,000+ posts into your time here and so far all you've shown me is that you ignore facts and bring up events from 40+ years and quite a few presidential administrations ago like the way things were done back then are the same as how they're done now

do you not know what the phrase "dirt movers" is a metaphor for or am i just getting trolled here
edit: wow, the more i read your post the more i realize that you have no idea what my post meant lol

For the sake of your point why don't we assume I don't understand your post. Go agead and explain it, teach me. And for shits and grins go ahead and respond to a few of the very specific points given without seeming to call all those who disagree with you stupid, uninformed or anything else...I'm sure I speak for several of us (and I'll say it again) teach us...now is your chance.

"dirt mover" is the person that actually does the work, the ones that take the orders and actually make stuff happen. in this case, at the nsa the dirt movers are the low level military e2-e5 guys doing all the work who don't care at all about politics. they do their jobs and they do what is right, which involves not breaking rules and adhering to all oversight and compliance regulations, which includes, as outlined in almost every single news article about this entire thing yet overlooked by almost everyone who reads them, not "spying" or otherwise collecting any information on american citizens. they're not trying to gain a secret upper hand in world-level politics, they're working.

in the context in which i used it, "agenda" is quite simply a reference to someone's plans. it is the same word and has the same definition when used like a "political agenda" when referencing the government's/president's plans for the future but they carry quite different connotations. the way you said it you associated "agenda" with "platform", 2 things that are not the same, and that is why your post seemed to be completely missing what i said.

nowhere have i called anyone stupid, gg.

Would you consider these analyst from the NSA and the IRS workers "dirt movers"? I do and I strongly believe what they've been doing is wrong.

BTW, not using "stupid" as a quoted remark just your general theme of those of us you disagree with not knowing what we are talking about...

Hey, the guy thinks wiki is the last word & he wanted to see a link, I gave him a legit one (ABCnews is about as main stream media as it gets ) But because the historical facts debunks him & what he believes he must try to turn the table, which he cant of course.. & the fact that incident happened before his young, albiet ignorant life span, it bears no weight.

The bottom line is he thinks the gov is above board & wouldn't do anything corrupt...

& I'm telling him that the gov. has done it & will countinue doing it, he doesn't realize that history & historical fact is on my side..

He can'r or won't tell me about the reasons for going to war in VietNam.

He only has the so called knowledge of things that were so obviously spoonfed to him, where I on the other hand have lived thru it..

But my references are too in the past for him therefore it didn't happen or it doesn't matter, such 1 sided ignorance in youth is really sad..

Besides if he really were in the "IC" he's an idiot & can't be trusted in said community because he's already said too much....lol

    ok cpl. secret squirell...:spy:

snowden was a contractor who worked for a company that worked for the nsa lol, he's somewhat removed from what goes on

idk why you guys keep bringing up the irs thing because that's clearly irrelevant to the topic at hand which is nsa surveillance but i do agree that the IRS thing is inexcusable and ultimately a contradiction to my point. the workers should have had the honor and courage to say something or stand up to their supervisors instead of carrying out an obviously discriminatory set of orders

everything i have said is unclassified, easily accessible public knowledge.

you've "lived through it" from the outside, i'm living through it on the inside. big difference. big, big difference.

If any one has a problem with the "Gov" spying you should never use facebook, Amazon or any thing even remotely close. I don't understand how people willingly give the very last detail of their personal life out on fasebook and panic with the thought that the government would have any interest in that kind of every day dribble.
