No Side marker lights?

I just did the DTRL mod on my 07 and figured while i was at it I would do the alternating signal mod as well.

The DTRL went well and they light up when i put my parking lights on.
For the signal mod, I cut the ground wire and wired from the side marker wire to the red/black and red/yellow wires on the signal bylbs. However the signal mod didn't work and I dont have side markers. Not sure if I had them before or not.

Yeah, I followed the walkthrough however I'm not getting any side marker action.

 

Wire it back and see if they come on that'll tell you if you did something wrong and need to troubleshoot.

 

I'll try that. Technically all I need to do is wire the ground wire back together? because all that is left is a wire spliced into the signal which wouldnt be going anywhere

 

Thats right you should only have to move one wire back if I remember right and it just needs to touch to try it.

 

Well I tried to do that, still no markers. So possibly both marker lights burnt out? Because they should come on when I turn on the parking lights, right?

 

Make sure you didn't blow any fuses. I don't remember if they were on a separate fuse from anything else but its worth a look. Can also try a bulb from either your map lights or license plate lights. They are the same kind.

 

I pulled the bulbs and both filaments are broken. So it looks like that is the cause. TO THE AUTO STORE!
