So i just got a supercharger installed on my 2012 4x4 and i love it. I just installed a boost gauge and was dissapointed to see that i am only pushing 3 psi flat. I though stock boost was 5-6 psi? My truck only has 13,xxx miles on it and everything sounds fine and seems to be ok so i have no clue whats wrong if anything. It was just installed about 3 days ago. Anyone have any ideas?

    What elevation are you at?

Also, check all hoses going into the supercharger. I had a vacuum leak on mine and it seriously hindered performance.

Im at roughly 1300 foot elevation, and ill check the connections. I may just take it back to toyota and ask them to see whats wrong since its a new install and no matter what its covered under warranty.

It might not be anything wrong but never hurts to ask. What boost gauge are you running and did you install any of it yourself?

How much vacuum should i be pulling at idle or decel? Im currently pulling 10 to 11 at idle and yes i installed the boost gauge. Its a cheap digital unit, it's wired correctly and the vacuum hose is connected fine.

There's the problem right there. Even some of the Autometer digital boost gauges are off a few psi. The mechanical ones not so. Greddy or Apexi make a nice quality boost gauge.

On my turbocharged car there is a 2 psi offset between the computers MAP and a decent quality boost gage. I chalk it up to the gage being imprecise.

Ya, digital gauges read much slower and less accurate that mechanical. Learned all about this on my boosted civic

You're truck wouldn't even idle with vacuum readings that low. 17-22" is typical. You're gauge is WAY off...

I use the Torque App and a 7" Android tablet to read mine from the factory sensors. Just another option for you to consider.

I use the torque app as well very informative.
OP it should be at around 7-8 psi at that elevation, I had that much boost at 5500ft on my last tacoma there something wrong either with gauge or connections also there is no boost when your N/A boost is anything above atmosheric pressure going into your engine in simple terms

do you not need a 2 bar sensor to read accurate boost and not just vacuum? might be best to post or move this over to the performance section to get a better answer.
