I just purchased a set of the 18" xRunner wheels and have been wondering which size tires I should get. I've stalked a few members specs and seen some with 285/65. I really just don't want to rub if that is at all possible. I guess if anyone else is running the xRunner wheels or 18"s let me know what size tires you're running and how much (if any) you rub. Anyone is welcome to chime in. =)

I am currently riding with 255/45 zr18 Pilot Sport Plus by Michelin in the rear and General G-Max by Monitor Technology up front, on my 2009 Xrunner.

I believe the rims are stock as they have the Toyota symbol, but not sure what size is stock for this truck, since I just bought it used.

Still have a lot of space in the wheel well.

    Anyways hope this helps some.

That seems ridiculously large for a 5 lugger. Forget rubbing, I don't think you could even get those mounted

This guy is running 285/60/18's on the x runner wheels. He rubs a little bit it looks like, but wheel spacers could fix that.

ryanjboutin is also running x runner wheels on 265/70/18's on 1.25" wheel spacers, but he's running a procomp coilover and custon uca's. Here's his build thread:

I'm curious, if you don't mind me asking, how much did you pick the x runner wheels up for?

I got them for $700 with Bridgestone Potenza's mounted to them 255/45. I then sold the steelies with oem tires for $375 for the set.

285s will fit. I have test fitted them and had no rubbing after the black box was removed. They only measure out to 32.7 or 8 and are 11.2 wide I believe. To me my 265's seem a little small now. Just cause I'm used to them tho. An aftermarket bumper will help for clearance. I have heard people trimming front bumper to run 33s. For some reason mine didn't rub a bit on the test fit. But I run a 16 in wheel too.

Do you have pics of trucks lifted with fat bobs on 285's? I don't really want to swap out front bumpers or trim them so I want to go the largest I could without trimming.

I don't have pics due to just a fitting. I was gonna wait til the front bumper was replaced to get them. We drove it at full lock in the parking lot forward and reverse. They were mounted on my 16 in wheels with 4.5 bs. I'd def test fit them just to make sure. Sorry. Check out the builds. There is one guy running 33/10.5s on 15 in wheels.
