Cameras, especially cheap ones in most phones, will need a lot of light to produce remotely decent pictures. Don't even bother taking night shots with a cheap phone camera. Also avoid taking pictures directly into the sign like you did the in the first set of pictures... and get your truck out of the shadow of the other truck. Put your truck in direct sunlight with the sun behind you so there aren't a lot of shadows on your truck. That's the best you can hope for ;)

What are you notched dudes doing about your exhaust? On my truck, the exhaust is about the same height as where the frame used to be before the notch... so if I 'bottom-out' on anything, I'm clearly going to hit my exaust first. Having a down-turned exhaust seems like it would be the best for solution for clearance, but I don't want to melt anything under my truck (or put myself to sleep!)

What exhaust haha mines is gone
But naw if you are only doing 3" drop in the rear you will be fine trust me and you will not bottom out on it even if you carry load you will bottom the shocks before you get close I ran 4" drop no problem
Though you are notched I don't think you will have a problem IMO if you go my height it's a different story u can in my pic no more tip anymore
Chop that bad boy before the axle

Yeah, I think if I hear any "clanky-clank" in the back, I won't have much choice but to chop the exhaust and put in a down-turn before the muffler. Did some research last night and apparently Magnaflow actually makes an exhaust kit for the V6 that comes with a downturn before the axle.

    CameraZOOM-20120724121054556-picsay_578dd738d13a01b2157ec9049aa95cf230d02065.jpg

Do any of you have an open-air intake, like the K&N one?

The reason I ask is that on a different vehicle of mine, I put on a tuned exhaust and it made no difference. When I put on a less restrictive air intake, then I felt a difference (not huge, but noticable).

I'm not expecting that such an intake would suddenly make my truck fast, but it sure is lacking in power and a tiny boost would be nice! I'm kind of skeptical of the design, however. The element would sit right behind the washer fluid bottle and headlight, and there's almost no path for fresh air to actually get to the element, making me wonder if it's a completely pointless mod.

I think the general consensus is that the oem intake design is about as "cold air" as it gets.

    I see.

Does anyone know if chopping off the muffler before the axle makes the exhaust louder? (Which I don't want.) I'm a little concerned that if the pipe has a down-turn on it, then the sound of the exhaust might "echo" between the pavement and the bottom of the truck. I'd hate to chop off the end of the exhaust and then think, "Crap... I shouldn't have done that." I think a new OEM exhaust is over $300 to replace.

i removed the stock tip and had an exhaust shop weld a turn down on the stock muffler. it sounded like stock.

I learned a bunch of stuff today...

The X-Runner Bilsteins are a lot stiffer than the OEM shocks. I can easily compress the OEM shocks but I can't budge the Bilsteins. I've seen people post that the Bilsteins aren't very stiff, so I guess those people must be way stronger than I am!

The Dupli-Color caliper paint isn't very tough :( I barely bumped a caliper while while taking off one of the OEM wheels and chipped the paint. That's frustrating. The caliper paint I used years ago on my car was tough as nails. Grrr.

The VHT hight temp paint isn't very tough either. I bumped one of my painted drums with the edge of the wheel while trying to take it off, and it put a big chip in the paint. GRRRRR!!!!! I'm not sure what I hate worse, the 15" OEM wheels for fitting so tight against the brakes or the crappy paint.

The Air Ride air bag kit doesn't work with StreeTaco blocks :( The lower mounting plate is suppsed to hook around a leg of the U-bolt, but it can't because the StreeTaco block's base plate is a lot longer than the OEM block, making the U-bolt leg too far away (as shown below). When I'm feeling more abitious, I guess I'll have to cut about an inch of metal away from the mounting plate so the hook hooks.

What do you guys do with this emergency brake bracket that bolts to the leaf spring (pictured below)? With the blocks installed, this bracket seems to bend the cable at a bad angle. I use my emergency brakes a lot and they cost a ton to get replaced (been there, done that), so I want to make sure I don't end-up wearing a hole in the casing. I'm inclined to think I should just cut-off the bracket as I'm not sure of what use it is anyway!??!

For the exhaust thing earlier I'd just cut e end off and buy one of those tips that extend out like 5 inches and turn down towards the ground. That's what I'd do, but I'm at 4 inches and never hit the exhaust and I run my truck super hard till the rear wheels have broken lose lol..

Thanks for posting bout the air lift. Almost bout it. Got the Roadmaster active suspension kit hoping that helps my issues and ill post on Tuesday when I get it.

Weird about the embrace bracket I haven't rubbed my e rake at all?
