1st Gen 15" steel wheel fitment

Are the 15" 6 lugs the wheel for all the first gens. Im looking to buy a set locally and the guy says that the wheels will fit through '99, but i've got an 02. Also any diff between 4x4 and 4x2 fitment with the 15"s?

You need info like hub bore, lug pattern, back spacing, offset. If it fits a 99 chances are it will def fit an 02

 

The 01-04 5-lug 15" won't fit the 95.5-00, because the hub size is smaller on the later yrs. Might be true for the 6-lug also.

 

16" wheels were an option for 01-04 6-lug Tacomas. I know for sure that the TRD models came with them. Assuming the calipers are all the same size, then I would assume that you could run 15" wheels on all years of 1st-gens. My '99 came stock with 15's but I'm running stock 16's from a 01 TRD.
