    Replied, and we are done.

I am in no way defending a thief, and if you feel like you want to go out there and kick his ass, so be it. My argument is over the blatant shooting of someone over something as stupid as gas. Sure, the tank has a hole in it, and sure it is a big pain in the ass to deal with. That does NOT excuse taking a persons LIFE over it.

So far I've added an Advance folding bed cover and since removed it. Gave it to my son in Maine, he has an 05 2wd. GT perfect fit seat covers. Weathertech floor mats and window vent visors. Waag center brush/grill guard. Hose clamp tailgate mod. Turned off the seat belt chime. Added Ultra-Gauge. Trailer hitch. Softopper. Replaced sun visors with slide out style. Toyota bed extender. Had Firestone Destinations and now Michelin LTX AT2 in stock size. More mods to come; Fog lights, locking storage in bed, intermittent wipers. Now looking for Radio/HU upgrade. and maybe a lift way down the road.

Why in the hell would you spend the money to replace the whole tank if it's just a hole? Pull it off, take it to a welder and have them repair it- its not that hard. If you have to ask how you weld on a fuel tank you definitely shouldn't do it yourself- or maybe you should, just be sure to video it for youtube.

As soon as the DB steals his life is forfeit in my opinion. He will never be a good person again only a dirtball. Personally I think his penalty should be doused in fuel and lit up.

Cool a plastic welder? Did you invent that yourself?

Should we use a skycrane to take out the tank?

Well I guess we all learn something new- I never paid any attention to the tank and just figured it was metal. Hopefully you'll learn something too- plastic welders have been out for quite a while and can be used on fuel tanks.

Here are some examples for you:
    http://www.urethanesupply.com/Airless-Welders-1/
There are videos of folks fixing fuel tanks on youtube.

There are also epoxy putties that can be used on fuel tanks; here is one example:

No idea what your smarmy skycrane comment was about.

This is all MY personal opinion but I gotta jump in.

IMO there are no degrees or levels of theft, stealing is stealing, period.

If you've ever extended your break or lunch at work....you stole your company's time and money. We've all done it. Make as many justifications as you like but it's a fact. Doesn't have to be your break at work. Could be anything you really weren't entitled to. Think about it. How many here have logged in to TW at work when you should be working. For we ALL live in glass houses.

That was just one example. No one on this earth is judge and jury of anyone else outside the judicial system unless your life or somebody else's life is in IMMINEMT danger of serious bodily injury or death. Losing a material item does not qualify here.

I'm a proud firearm toting, CCW carrying American. Be very careful before you decide to go Chuck Norris on someone.

    Just my opinion.

Just got my truck back last night. Feels good to be driving a truck again!

$1,025 was the final bill. Of course I only was out my deductible.

Yes, plus tow. Although looking at the receipt it doesn't look like they charged the insurance company the tow.
