    Of course.

If you want the best seat in the house, you'll have to move the cat (then accept the fact that the cat will likely end up in your lap).

Buy something for the cat, and it is ignored.
Buy something for someone else, and it belongs to the cat.
That is just how they are. They don't accept charity, they take what they want.

We have bought many things for the cats over the years, and the only way any of them have played with anything has been when we have "hidden" it and allowed it to be discovered.

We've stopped buying stuff for the cats because they enjoy finding little stuff around the house to play with instead of their toys.

Iffy on that one. Usually effective, but not always.

When they realize they can't kill it and eat it, they give up.

Best cat toy ever? Laser pointer.
You can shoot it across the room so they don't relate it to being connected with you, it has a much larger range... anything visible from where you're sitting is fair game, so they get to stalk and chase over a wider area.

It lets YOU be lazy and sit there while the cat chases the dot. With the other toys, you get carpal tunnel while the cat can choose to lay on his back and swat the thing, because he knows that if he doesn't chase it, you'll bring it to him.

Rescued this little guy a couple of weeks ago, he was thin and dehydrated when we got him. A trip or two to the vet and he is doing very well now

after him shredding our hands and feet we decided to get him someone to hang out and work off energy with, and he has a sweet mustache

they have been inseperable ever since...

How the hell do you bathe that beast in the sink?

We have to take our Tabby into the tub with us.

    And he's deafening.

Malcolm loves water. He plays in the toilet (and drinks from it).

He just doesn't like to be wet above his "wrists"

Give him a bath and the "yeoooowl" can be heard for a block.

    Malcolm isn't that smart.
He's a smart kitty, but at this point, he's 19 y/o, and his mind is going.

Sometimes we'll feed him, and an hour later, he's standing by his bowl yeowling.
