I just purchased this 1996 Tacoma and the previous owner told me he the front 4x4 differential was working intermitantly. He said he done some research and thought the ADD motor wasn't working. Today I started the truck and took off each of the vacuum lines and felt no vacuum. I then pulled the wiring harness off the actuator on the ADD motor and ran my test light on it. No current either. Fuse was good also. So now I have looked at the rest of the vacuum lines and connections and they all appear to be hooked up. Now I need to know what to do next. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks for reading.

The 4x4 light does not come on anytime I shift it.

Ok, mine wasnt working for a while either and it turns out it was a switch that was bad and also a bad ground connection. I don't remember which switch though
