    Quick Question:

I had a stereo shop install the Apline INE-S920HD in my 2010 Taco Dbl Cab. I also had a steering wheel control adapter & Sirius/V200 installed as well. They used the little black square Sirius antenna from the V200, stating they didn't have a harness that could tie into the factory antenna.

Questions: Does it matter - would I get better reception from the factory antenna? Does a harness exist? Should I really bother removing the little black square and using the factory?

    Thanks,
    -PH

This is the adapter...I saw one in the Marketplace on here recently

I had a stand alone sirius unit for several years and never had any issues with the little black antenna it came with. I decided to wire up the stock one so I could use the stock headunit and haven't noticed any difference in signal. The only drawback to having the little black one is you have to run the wire into the cab (PITA), but since that's done I'd say just leave it. Unless you are really against the spot that the antenna is in...

Thanks - I'll take your advise and leave well enough, alone.
