This past weekend I added a SnugTop shell to my truck that I really like. The problem is the truck now sits lower in the back. The ride doesn't feel any different, but I’ve only driven back and forth to work on paved roads. This weekend I am going shooting up in the mountains and will get a chance to see how it handles off-road.

My question is what can I do to raise the rear so it’s at least level with the front? The specs for my truck are below, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Icon AAL is a good one. You could even go with airbags if you want to spend a little more. I have the same problem installed the ARE Overland shell. I am also going to add a bumper so it will sag more. I have decided on the Icon AAL.

Why not just add a leaf?

I have a 2012 4wd DCSB. I added a Leer shell and my rear sagged too. I added a wheelers offroad single add a leaf. It lifted the rear about 1.5 inches. However, the ride got a lot rougher and I was getting driveshaft vibrations. After a few months I got tired of it and took off the aal and went back to stock. Now I just live with the sag.

the ride got rough because your stock shocks were being hyper extended all the time, you shouldve added longer struts

I am using longer shocks. I added bilstein 5100 rears at the same time. The aal stiffens the leaf pack so even if you upgrade the shocks you are going to lose ride quality
