Grill surround discoloration on 2012

I hated the "orange peel" look of the fender flares from the factory. And, Plastic and metal parts can be painted to match. Right after I bought the truck, I had the fender flares painted under a TSB for this paint issue. They look great now, 4 and 1/2 yrs later. Look at the Tundras with fender flares, they match perfectly and they are plastic like the Tacomas. If your under warranty and it bothers you, get them painted for free.

Yes, I agree. I do not like the "different" look of the fenders in regards to paint color and texture. This is something I kept thinking about before purchasing and also what drove me to the Super White. I figured these things would be less noticeable and take longer to happen. Not so.

Where can I find the TSB's for my truck? Are they available to the public or owner? No need to paint my fenders as of yet but I'd like to know my future options. Not happy to be seeing these changes in paint color so soon, not even a year old yet.

I haven't noticed any off color paint on my 2011 (white).. but now you got me worried. I'm going to check as soon as I get my truck back from the dealer.

 

Any luck from the dealership on your grill or are they still giving you the run around?

 

........!!!!! Haven't heard a thing!!!! Pretty sure I'm not gonna. Getting !!!! Calling Toyota is on my looong to-do list but it will get done!!! The grill surround looks pretty noticeable and fugly. I think a rep needs to see it in person. I'm getting worried the rest of the truck or at least other parts will follow.
