I have read alot on how much better the 5100 shock is over stock. I have a 2012 Tacoma access cab PreRunner, all stock. But I want to start towing a 3700lb trailer. Will new 5100 shocks do any thing to improve the towing? What would I expect to feel in the ride?

The rear 5100's would help when towing. An AAL would be your best bet when trying to improve towing capacity.
