    Hello everyone,

I'm new to TW. I have a 2009 DC Off-road and was wondering about lift kits. I have been eyeing the king coilovers. My question is do I need to go that extreme. It is mostly on the highway but I would like the capability to do some mild off-roading. No moab or any crazy shit just the ability to go backwoods fishing and hunting. I like the ability to adjust ride height and to turn it up or down if needed. Any help would be appreciated.

Icon ext travel C/O's, Total Chaos UCA's, King R/R shocks, All-Pro leaf pack, lights, RCI skid, Brute Force sliders, ect.
OME lift kit, Dakar rear leaf pack, and some Lightracing UCA's to help keep your alignment in spec and you'll be good to go I think. Prob $1500 total if that

Ok. So the King or Icon is way overkill for what I need?

King and Icon is top of the line stuff and it's rebuildable, so in the long run when they start to wear out, you can get them rebuilt instead of buying new. If your trucks going to be on pavement 90% of the time with no real hard/technical or higher seed stuff, the OME setup would be great for you. However, if you like the ability to rebuild them, and be able to adjust the front coilovers to any height you want (king, icon, fox, are all adjustable like that), and don't mind spending the cash for them, then you could do that. I just think they would be a little over kill for you but ultimately it's up to you.

Ok. Thanks for your help. I realize that the King, Icon, and Fox are the best stuff. I would like to do it right the first time and I think that I will go balls out and save for the best stuff. It's only money right?

They make more of it every day haha and don't get me wrong, the OME and the Billy's (forgot to mention, similar to OME) are more than capable for a lot of stuff and many people run them with no complaints. But personally, I think it's worth it doing it right the first time and not having to worry about it again.

Do it right and get the Icon stage one and keep the front height low (2-2.5") and UCA's wont be needed. They're valved for a DD/weekend warrior.....smooth on-road ride with high speed valving so you can blow down those bumpy dirt roads like a boss!

Does the Icon stage one work well with the Dakar rear leaf packs? As far as the rear shocks being long enough?

They're not long enough for the droop that pack has.....but can be custom made longer. Hit up SDHQ or DSM.
