I know that this subject is like a broken record, but I'm new to this stuff and really need some help. I have a 2012 TRD OR Double Cab Short Bed.

    Here is my plan:

5100's all around, 16" black rims and 265/75/16 Duratracs.

Here are my questions: What is the best setting on the 5100's to level my truck up? I measured from my fenders to the center of the wheel and got this:
    FRONT: 20.5
    REAR: 22.25

I also looked at my leafs and I have the 2 leafs plus an overload. Do I need an AAL or to look into getting the TSB done? Opinions?

Do I need to get new UCA's if I set the Billys at 1.75 or .85?

    Any other suggestions for me?

If you want to be level you'll need to set them at 1.75, this will be level front and rear. However, you have a crappy stock leaf pack so any weight you put in the bed you'll have a little bro lean going on.... Also at 1.75 you will NOT need new ucas...

1.75" if you stay factory leafs. 2.5" if you put a 1.5" AAL in the rear. You will probably need UCAs if you go 2.5" but not for 1.75". Some people don't need UCAs even at 2.5". Unfortunately I do.

This may be a silly question but how do you know when you need new UCA's? I recently went to 2.5 and AAL but haven't noticed any problems/noises/vibrations.:notsure:
    Sorry...not trying to thread jack.

When you get an alignment, you get a sheet that has before and after alignment numbers. Plus it comes with the factory spec numbers.

You can also tell if your driving at highway speeds and the truck feels like it wanders or it wants to follow elevation changes on the road. Probably caster out of spec.

Caster helps make the truck go straight easier. Like the wheels on a shopping cart. They follow the direction because they are angled back.

New adjustable UCAs just allow you to get the right adjustment that you can't get with the factory setup.

    Moondeath (or anyone else),

So basically, 5100's with the front set at 1.75 and I should be good to go? I just hate the fact that I paid so much for my truck, for a 4x4, and it comes with 2 leafs in the rear. It doesn't make any sense to me. I don't haul too much stuff besides a few bicycles, but still...

Should be. All the trucks seem to be a little different. But from what I've seen on here plus what I have, 1.75" should work for you if you don't do anything to the rear.

On mine I have 2.5" in the front and 1.5" in the rear and that still leaves me with just the slightest rake.

    Moondeath,

Are those n-fab bars on your truck? What's your opinion on them? Can't decide if I want some or not.

Yes, they are NFABs. Funny, I just started a poll a day or 2 ago on whether to keep them on or not. They're nice steps, but once you have them on you don't use them. You end up stepping over them. They look nice, but I can't decide whether I want them on or not. Ive had them on for about 2 years now.

If you get some, coat the bottom sides with a rubberized liner of some kind. They take a beating from stones. I had a replacement set sent to me because the powder coat was chipping off so much before the first year was up.
