used bed cap info

I am in the market for a used aluminum bed cap and have seen all the Craig list ads that says the cap is for a 6 foot bed, can fit this truck or that truck or came off of this truck.

I have an 07 AC..what other truck out there has a similar bed size to ours that a used cap will work

 

AC is a 6 foot bed, if it is made for the 05-13 tacoma it should fit. Measure first and test fit before payment.

As for other vehicle caps, I couldn't answer that, I would be leery though.

 

The vermont craigslist has a couple 6' aluminum caps specific to tacomas. Take a drive up that way.

 

Thanks for the info...I was just curious because I have seen a few 6' shells on CL for VT/MA/CT, previous owners make the claim that came off short bed truck just was not sure if the width would match up with my 07, did see a couple for a T100 and a 1st Gen but not familiar with those trucks and if a shell off those would fit (ex Nissan Titan guy). I had a shell on that and it had to be for a titan.

I did see those ones in VT but one was 2.5 hours away..love taking trips into VT but not for a bust..been GL burnt before...
