    3" Toytech Lift
    Hey Fellas

I am pretty new on this site. Had an 01 taco ext cab sold it and just bought a 2013 tacoma DC LB. I got the dealership to throw in a 3" body lift but I am starting to wonder if that was the right choice. Do I need to add UCA?

I am planning on running the 18x9 XD monster wheels not sure on tires yet but thinking of going with the nitto terra grapplers since i do alot of highway driving!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Body lifts are gross, I would never even consider a 1inch body lift. No you dont need UCA for body lift.

Yeah I wish I had the money for suspension lift but didnt' at the time and I need the clearance for the roads I drive on since Im working in the sticks of Alberta. Maybe next year once i save up a little. So you don't need UCA's for 3" body lift. That's what i gathered but was confused on some of the forums.

I like the look of the 3 but would rather lift it to 4.5" hopefully next summer I can get er done!

A body lift doesn't touch the suspension, you won't need UCAs. Are you confusing body lift with spacer lift?

    this and that...
could you take a pic of toytecs body lift? not doubting you but i dont think you got the body lift from toytec. for all we know it might be a spacer setup. in any case i agree, i wouldnt put a body lift as your primary mode of lift. i would definately go suspension first. sell it then get suspension lift. there are ery budget minded lifts to consider (ie: bilstein 5100).

EDIT: actually went through their site, and was surprised that they do sell body lifts. they were for the old style tacoma and 4runners though, and even at that it was 1" and 2" respectively.
