I just bought a 98 Limited and I was wondering how you find out if it hasABS or not? All of the searches I’ve done say that it was an option but I can’tfind anything on the truck that says whether or not it has it. I suppose Icould slam on the breaks and see what happens but I’d rather find out anotherway.

Some of this Some of that
Hop in the truck, put the key in the ignition, turn to the fully on position, but don't start it. The check engine light should be on and the airbag light and oil light and such, is there an abs light? If so you has the abs :D

No ABS light, no box with a bunch of break lines coming out. Bummer, Oh well, it has all the other features I wanted like locking differential and cruse control.

    Thanks for the info guys.

also check on the axle. at the end of each side of the axle where the shaft and hub assembly bolt to the housing there is an oval with a black plug covering it held on by one small bolt. if you don't have abs this cover will be there. if you do have abs there will be wires and an abs sensor bolted into that hole.
