As the title says, what is your favorite spot to go off roading? Hard to find places here, beach only. My favorite in the past would be the mountains in SW New Mexico, haven't been there in years!

Also, please give the location in the State, that way some of us can plan future adventures.

Paradise Divide near Crested Butte Colorado. It's in a National Forest so you have to stay on the roads, but the roads aren't much. At times some snow and ice, streams to cross, and of course lots of steep barely passable gravel roads with sheer drop offs.
    Scary and thrilling.

Poughkeepsie off of north Engineer Pass in southwestern Colorado. It has the toughest obstacle in the area. Even if you can't top it and have to turn around, it's the prettiest trail I've ever been on.

Nothing here but beaches. I used to have a couple spots but people abused them and they are closed now.
