06 Tacoma a/c problem

Got in the truck today,turned on a/c fan to max all worked well, went to turn fan down to lower speed -- Nothing, turn back up to high all works fine.
hot cold dial to full cold, a/c button "on" re[FONT=&quot]circulating[/FONT] button "on"
is there a separate circuit for the lower speeds on the fan ??
any help would be appreciated .

Sounds like your resistor module needs replaced. I'm sure someone will post the link to replacing it soon if you don't find it by searching.

That sounds right! I had the same thing happen to a Dodge Caravan.I don't how to replace it though. I think I paid like $200 to have it fixed like 8 yrs. ago,something like that.

Also just found out the Chevy Colorado&GMC Canyon have this problem too. The Colorado&Canyon drivers are replacing theirs with the Toyota part, apparently it's plug and play, they say the Toyota one is beefier, no problems after they install the Toyota one!http://www.355nation.net/forum/electrical-lighting-security/57858-tacoma-blower-motor-resistor-3.html
