    Please do not do this

this puts officers, you, and other motorists at risk of injury or death

find a safe spot to pull fully off the road and out of the way

    these ARE good suggestions

    1. I get irritated if im trying to write or look up something and the person im dealing with continues to try and chit chat with me
    2. 9 out of 10 times...its probably not going to matter where you work
    3. theyre not
    4. this would seem like a good idea...and it is appreciated...but realize that LOTS of people do this...and sometimes it may work...sometimes it may not

what it comes down to is be polite and honest with the officer and do not do anything to put him in harms way

if he asks you something or asks you to do something...follow his orders unless it is a DIRECT BLATANT danger to your safety or health...if you cannot...explain in a calm cool and collected manner

IF you had your head out your ass & weren't high you might be able to see the thread title which is how to beat a ticket. I simply was trying to get you to explain how paying one entity to keep something off your driving record is really bottom line any different than paying someone else to do the same thing. Defensive driving is state approved & lawyers have to pass a state bar so they are too. E-peen comedy routine failure.

In Missouri you just go to a Ticket Fixit store - they are in every other strip center - and pay a lawyer who graduated with D's and F's from law school $250-$500 to go to court and fix your ticket for you. You pay, but you don't get points that can cause your insurane to go up. This is a "illegal legal" racket between the lawyers and judges....lots of graft and kickbacks involved.

Harden your bark, there are storms on the horizon.
not trying to endanger the officer, but figured this out on accident once. there was no good place to pull over on the two lane i was on at the time. as the deputy was coming to my truck, the traffic was having to avoid us on a narrow road. he asked the standard questions...warrants, weapons, or drugs. no, no, no. requested my lic, reg & insurance. i obliged. he looked it over very quickly, looked me over very quickly...asked what the hurry was. "i'm late for class at the local university" all the while traffic still having trouble getting by us. once he'd seen i had my act together, he told me to slow it down and carry on. i'm not looking to get the officer ran over...but if it's more dangerous or a PITA to handle my pull off location, he can either tell me to move to another spot, or may choose to get the encounter over as quickly as possible.

i never initiate small talk...but will chime in if i'm asked a question...sometimes it's "where do you work?" my employer doesn't carry a bunch of clout...but his family knows many of the local officials and i've found that if the cop knows someone you know that is respectable, they may "go easy" on you. it's a small town here.

Tiger...do you like Super Troopers? i just watched it again last night lol

A cop told me the same in California. He said most prefer their off days because it's a minimum 4 hours overtime pay (sheriffs here work 5 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 5 days off).

California allows you to attend traffic schools for speed 25 over or less. You'll still pay the fine but it won't go on your record (ultimately, the extra insurance cost will be the biggest fine). Here, you can do it for one violation every 18 months. Check your state to see what the options are.
