Winch solenoid mounting location... NEED PICS!

So I have a plate bumper coming this week and will be mounting a smittybilt winch that I'm going to be mounting in it. I know that the solenoid needs to be remotely mounted, just unsure of where to do so... I guess I don't have issues putting it in the engine bay but don't want it to be a pain to hook up the hand switch to it when I need to. I've searched and found a few through hard filtering but its still a little confusing for a good location.

 

I mounted mine behind the battery near the firewall . Sorry no pics of that. I found it a pain in the ass to pop the hood plug in the controller etc
