We all know that when purchasing a new vehicle ,we don't care about losing money ,as new car will lose money once you drive off the dealership. If you don't care about about resale value it's doesn't matter what car you buy. But since you're here in this forum you know what you get in to. you're actually driving the most reliable midsize pickup with the best resale value (you know what your car worth more than anyone else). period !!! So what ever CR claim it doesn't mean anything to US. i bet you if you have to buy another Midsize Pickup tomorrow you guy will buy another Tacoma in a heart beat !!!

for way too many years CR nuthugged toyota on every vehicle no matter what. When the FJ first came out, they slammed it like Pam Anderson on a boat with a camera. Ever since the floor mat "unintended acceleration" thing, CR has been down on Yotas for the most part. I believe what I see and experience. Everyone I know who has ever bought a toyo truck, still owns and loves it. Its not perfect, but far better than the POS 2001 jeep they recommended and predicted it to be "reliable" until a year after I bought it. Junkyard fodder..

My Dad had a 1st gen Avalanche Z66 that was fully loaded. White with the grey cladding. It was a sweet truck. I can't stand the newer ones.

    Bone stock for now....
    Ha ha

    Wasn't me.

When viewed as a tool necessary for a specific use, companies "invest" in depreciating assets all the time.....equipment, tools, etc. When looked at as a necessary purchase, for example you need a vehicle to go to and from work which allows you to generate income said vehicle becomes a necessary investment, despite the fact that it is a depreciating asset and you have no expectation to the contrary.

    Copied from Oxford Dictionary....

    "Investment noun
1 the action or process of investing money for profit or material result:
a debate over private investment in road-building
    a total investment of $50,000
a thing that is worth buying because it may be profitable or useful in the future:
a used car is rarely a good investment
an act of devoting time, effort, or energy to a particular undertaking with the expectation of a worthwhile result:
the time spent in attending a one-day seminar is an investment in our professional futures

The bigger picture here is not who's right versus who's wrong, but rather more of an awareness that we all play on a very, very large global forum and what may seem like complete insanity to one group of people, such as drawing your weapon on a dog, may be completely normal to another group.

Just trying to promote world peace one forum at a time.
