    Hey guys,

I will soon be purchasing a brand new 2013 Tocoma.

I'm really torn between the 2wd and 4wd. I want a 4wd just in case I need it later (I don't need it now, but seeing as this truck will last 20 years......)

I was seeing if any you had this model truck (double cab long bed V6 SR5) and could give any estimates on the gas millage, mostly the difference between a 4wd and a pre runner. I've heard it is about 1 MPG difference and I've also heard its about a 3 MPG difference.

    Thanks

I'd say def go with a 4wd. Its better to have it and not need it then not have it then need it.

I have a short bed SR5 4x4, and my friend has a short bed prerunner.

He can get 17-19mpg highway, I'm lucky to get 15-16mpg. We both have 32" tires.

    welcome.

get the 4wd so you wont regret it later.,, also the difference is MPG is minimal..your foot is the biggest MPG saver. id rather pay an extra buck or 2 for gas than paying thousdands later for a conversion or a new truck with 4wd
