I just bought a 2013 Tacoma V6 Double Cab and the dealer gave me $500 in parts and service to accessorize it and I am not sure how I should use it. I would like to do something that would give it a little more horsepower but not sure where that would be well spent. I thought about the TRD exhaust but I am not looking for sound as much as the added power. Also, from what I can tell they no longer do the cold air intakes for the 2013 models??!!
    Any suggestions tips are appericated.

Also, when i turn the engine off it kinda makes a little funny noise like the engine is winding down. Is this normal?

    Build thread coming soon!
The "wind down" sound is normal- my 12 does it, too. Toyota redesigned the valvetrain for '12, so TRD didn't bother making a new cold air to fit. Lots of others make them, though! I am also running the TRD exhaust. I initially wanted it just for the tip, but I've grown to love the mellow rumble. They claim a 5-8hp gain with the exhaust, and 11-15hp with an intake...

That "wind down" noise is your smog pump.

Skip the air filter and exhaust. You will not get any noticeable gain. Only noise. Unless you get the supercharger.

Bed Mat. Trust me you will want it.

    Licence plate covers.

    Hood Rock chip guard.

Don't do the all weather mats they are crap. Get the weathertechs.

    Oil change package.

    Spare engine belt and fluids.

TRD shirt shifter or TRD exhaust. I love em both! The note from the exhaust is great and not too noisy and the short shifter is a major improvement over stock IMO.

    Bone stock for now....
I added the TRD exhaust and AFE dry air filter and while there may not be much, if any, hp gains, it sure seems a helluva lot more fun to drive.

Some of the smaller accessories are easy to buy piece meal, but you may not always feel like coughing up the dough for a $400 to $500 accessory. I wouldn't necessarily rule out the exhaust. I love mine every second of every minute I drive my truck.

Sounds like you guys are big fans of the bed mat. I want one, but I haven't been able to justify it yet, especially given how tough the composite bed liner already is. Convince me please.

Go and get a car battery and put it in the bed of the truck.

Then go for a drive around the city.

You will soon understand why you need one.

Salex Center console organizer, glove box organizer, Husky Xact contour front and rear digital floor liners, OEM black running boards, TRD PRO Sema 4runner wheels black, Blackout badge kit, Bakflip MX4 hard folding tonneau.
When I have my tonneau down and put something in the bed, get to my destination and the item is sitting in the back corner because things slide like crazy on the bedliner.

Rubber bed mat solves this problem. Couldn't live without it for keeping stuff in place. I do pull it out for jobs like a load of mulch where I want it to slide right out.
