Hello, I'm new to this site, but I have owned Toyota vehicles for years (4runner V8, 4runner 3.4 V6, Tundra).
I purchased an 06 Tacoma V6 with 96,000 miles a few months ago. The front timing cover is leaking, but I'm not concerned about that today.
I have tried everything to fix a consistent hot or cold rough idle. I have no error codes or lights on the dash. I have changed the plugs x 2 (thinking one may have been cracked during the 1st change), cleaned the MAF, cleaned the throttle body, cleaned the air box, changed the PCV valve, run fuel system cleaner/Lucas through several tanks of gas (all quality/Toyota/correct parts used) and nothing has helped. I had an induction service done at Toyota dealership. Also I have checked for vacuum leaks.
Also the truck has valve ping/knock that is noticeable at low RPMs and it ticks along consistently at idle (which is apparently normal)
Could the fuel pump be going out and not throw a code?
Could a coil pack be going out and not throw a code?
I can feel the truck vibrating when I am sitting in the cab. Is this normal for this truck? I can't imagine that it would be.
Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.
    Thanks

My 05 does this too with only 25K miles on it... I have a pretty noticable tick too, which is normal on aluminum block motors I've been told. I have ran my Tacoma pretty hard the last 5K miles or so though and was about to run some seafoam through it and clean out the throttle body and MAF to see if this would help it. Disappointed to see yours is still doing it after all that...

Well then this must be normal. I will just start driving the heck out of it and not worry, just like every other Toyota that I've had.
