my melted lense problem is over. i was about to order two new housings from a dealer on line, when i decided to go over to our local dealer and see what they are or aren't doing about this. no,be aware that toyota has issued upgraded replacement parts as per a service bulletin T-SB-0129-11. so for the corp or any dealer to tell you they know nothing about this is just pain bullshit. so, i just asked the writer what they were or were not doing about the problem. he said because the 3-36 warrantee is gone, he would talk to the manager and see if they would "goodwill" a replacement. he came back and said they would replace with the upgraded parts and charge me $10.00 "deductible". so, they did just that. and they gave me a loaner to drive while it was being fixed. i think i really lucked out here considering what i have read on this forum and others on line. so, give it a try. nothing to lose!
