So...driving down the road with the radio on aux function listening to the ipod, and a bump in the road turned the radio to the CD. Ever since, it won't select the AUX function. I know there are issues with these radios (2009 stock radio) but are they so bad that a bump (not even a notable bump) unsoldered a connection or disconnected a wire or...?
Has anyone ever had an issue with this?

At first glance, these don't seem like a straight swap out exchange for an aftermarket (couldn't pooooossibly be on purpose from Toyota.... I'm sure)

Pretty sure you can swap for an aftermarket... Just need to get an aftermarket dash kit. Not sure though

Hey there and welcome to TW! You might pop the stereo out of the dash and see if something just came loose. I'm not exactly sure how these stock stereos work, but I know in other cars I've had that if the AUX cable came loose I wouldn't be able to switch to the AUX source anymore.

Looking for that aux connection to the head does seem valid and worth a shot.
    Thanks

In case you need instructions on removing the stock stereo, there's a sticky on the Audio/Video page on it. I'd share the link but I'm on my phone and it doesn't seem to be in a sharing mood.

This is going to sound dumb, but trust me on this. Try pushing the aux cable back into the aux port on the truck. The tiniest seperation between the port and the cable will make the AUX function unavailable.

Lemme know if that works for ya before you rip apart the dash.
