    Fawk...

I have eye issues too. Everyone and their brother has PnP HID kits up in the Yukon. They're dangerous. Driving the Alcan down I'd have to pull over at least 5 times a night to let some asshat pass me, with lights so scattered and bright that it's painful... I'm sorry I have zero tolerance for shit like this.

Don't want to start a pissing match - OP you're a big boy and can make your own decisions...

Seriously though, consider saving up for a retro. The Mini Morimotos literally drop right in.

I've done it... especially to the asshole who insists on riding my tail at the perfect distance so his cutoff (such as it is) is right at my mirror level and who positions himself in the lane so his left housing lines up with my side view or rear view mirror.

Option 1 - Flip my side-view out so he's blinded by his own light. Been a few times these jackasses have either backed off or changed lanes after this.

Option 2 - Pull a Tom Cruise. Change lanes, hit the brakes, move back in behind them, missile lock, high beams.

Factory HIDs in a reflector housing /= P&P HID kit in an OEM halogen housing.

The reflector housing CAN be made to properly mask the beam from an HID.
You are not going to get those housings for $200 on eBay.

As already stated Toyota does not offer a HID option for the Tacoma therefore it is illegal if you needed more clarification.

Another HID legality thread..yes..they are technically illegal(altho there might not be a law saying it is..)..but it isn't enforced unless your blatantly blinding people.(At least down here in louisiana) We have plenty of ghetto blue/purple in their super lift crown vics or the like.(LOL) I have my 35w 5k headlights pointed slightly down on the drivers side to avoid blinding people. I only used my HID fogs when no oncoming traffic..they glare like no bodies business. Lol

Now 55w HID headlights in the housing might be more blantant..

After a long time with these lights, I absolutely love them, and especially when driving behind cops seeing they cant do shit.

Anyone looking for extreme light output and want to go HID, 55W didn't melt any housing and have been amazing.
