So I decided to install a AFE Stage 2 Si intake with the Volant air scoop. All credits goes to a great guy by the user name of Murderface on XRU. My thoughts.... It definitely lowers the drone sound from the Gibson cat back I have on and that exhaust is already quiet as is. All setup for the blower down the road

I had plans to do this also. I was running a complete Volant setup which worked well. Now I am back to the Volant scoop with the oem airbox set. Maybe someday I'll add an AFE CAI, and yes Murderface is the one to sort it out and post numbers he logged for inlet temps. PK

I'm trying to figure that out, too. I just ordered a aFe and the photos don't look like the extra air inlet is on the bottom, not the side.

    1) cut a big f'ng hole in the front
    2) find PVC that fits in hole or something like this:
    26029053-1D3B-49E9-983D-C4156175D683-6892-000006B3735848E1.jpg
    3) screw in place with layer of RTV in between
    4) fit together using appropriate sized Home Depot PVC adapter or similar sized Silicone hose
    5) Marvel over destruction you did to your $350 intake

lol. Kind of what I was thinking. I just got my '14 Taco w/supercharger. I didn't really see the Volant till after I ordered the Afe, but I want to get the scoop to get the most air in.

I found that aluminum part on eBay, Would it work due to it being 3" or do I need a 3 1/4"?

It should work. IIRC the hole saw I bought was 3 1/4" to drill the hole out and fitted a PVC union coupling of 3" it's been awhile so don't quote me on that. Just measure the outside diameter of the Volant air scoop hose and transfer the info to the air box. It's not really rocket science to it.
