So I took my truck on the interstate this past week to the beach and noticed a ton of road/wind noise coming in my driver door. After we got there I inspected it more closely and noticed that, if you try and stick your fingers between the cab of the truck and the door up at the top (with the door shut, and inside the truck), I can get my finger up in there quite easily. This is compared to the other 3 doors that I can't even get the tips of my finger up in there. I also have been noticing that when I open the door, rather than getting that natural POP when the door springs loose when you pull the handle, it just loosely opens, as if there is no tension on it. Is there any way to tighten a door up? I'll try and include some pictures and maybe a video of what I'm talking about.

Here you can see I'm about one knuckle deep up in there.

Here I can't even get my finger started.

In this picture you can see on the passenger side, the doors are flush with each other from the outside.

Then here is the driver side where you can see the driver door sticking out quite a bit.

My door is not sealing well ***** :p

Is there any adjustment on the door latch? Or at the hinges? Slotted holes?

You don't mention the year of your truck. If out of warranty, I would suggest taking to a body shop and see if they can adjust your door. It definitely seems out of alignment, especially how it latches compared to the ps door.

It is used, and it was also wrecked earlier this year. I rear ended a guy. Could the door have bent in a 100% frontal hit? Cause the bottom is flush also. It starts flaring out about 2/3 of the way up.

Take it to the body shop that fixed it after the accident

I inserted some foam rope (Home Depot stuff, Thermo-King?) into the entire seal on each door through the small drain holes. It was easy to do, but took patience. It helped the door seal better. You just have to make sure you do the complete seal.

The door is sprung and should have been fixed by the body shop when it was repaired. Take it back.

Looks like the original owner locked his keys in the truck and pried the upper door back just a little to get in a coat hanger. Seen this happen many times.

This is what I would recommend too. The door obviously isn't closing & sealing properly and it can be adjusted provided there's no residual damage that needs fixing. The body shop can fix/adjust this in about 5 minutes, as long as it only needs adjusting.

Broken into and the accident are all valid reasons. It is out of alignment and either needs to be fixed by the shop if it was from the accident or on your own dime. How does it seal at the bottom opposite the top? That will tell you if the door itself is bent or the cab is bowed. You want the door to be bent or the hinges to be out of alignment for sure. Have it looked at.
