Hey everyone I sold my 2007 Access Cab and bought a 2013 DBSB and been doing a lot of research on which CAI to go with. I've heard the Volant system would make the 4.0's run rich but that they have changed the set-up for the 12-13 models. Does this new setup still make the truck run rich? Anyone have any input that actually has this 12-13 setup?

Please hold the "stay with stock intake" comments. I simply want to know if the new Volant systems are still running rich like that older models are.

    Thanks!

I called the tech guy at Volant. He confirmed that they are a new system and also said that the Volants run rich when you fail to disconnect the battery after install.

He also said that they dyno'd with +15 RWHP results. Of course this is what an employee said and I myself am even skeptical but figured I would post for others.

If anyone is reading this thread that had a system running rich, did you disconnect the battery?
