sidemarker light bulbs ?

    I was checking my lights today and noticed that the front sidemarkers were not lighting. Upon further investigation there were no bulbs in the sockets. I went and bought the 2827 amber bulbs that I thought were correct (after investigating which ones to buy). Got home and the bulb will not go into the socket. Are there any other bulb numbers I should look into. Any help is appreciated.
