Thinking of buying new Tacoma with double cab and don't want 4x4. Want entune sound. What other options are important to you all? Is the Tacoma considered a half ton? And yes, going to do some towing but just a pop up or small camping trailer. Do I need towing package? Does the engine have anything to do with what you can tow. I'm thinking I just want a 6 cylinder. I don't understand all the ratings..gw stuff. Thanks I look forward to your ideas..

The bumper only holds 3,500 pounds deffinately get a tow package. I always recommend a 4x4. I have made the mistake twice with an 02 and 03 four door tacoma. Finally got sick of getting stuck in the snow having to put chains on, getting pulled out of sand... And if you camp you might run into 2x4 problems...
