I have a 2006 DCSB 4x4 TRD Sport. I called the dealer today to get a price on an automatic transmission service and was surprised to hear the service costs $240!!! Is this really the going rate? Seems pricey to me. Is it necessary for the stealership to do it or can any lube shop get it done?

Thats roughly what I paid for mine for the flush. Gotta figure - the WS fluid is kinda pricey and need 10 or so qts, and then figure in the labor...

I did my own for around $80. I am no mechanic either. I just followed the guides on this site carefully.
